Nashville is fortunate to have lots of parks and green spaces, perfect for a sunny day or a weekend afternoon. Some of the best parks in Nashville are just across the river in East Nashville, including  and . South on I-65 is the perennial favorite , where you can spot nesting eagles and take your pup for a stroll. The  are on the west side of town and offer miles of hiking trails as well as a golf course and an amazing wildflower display in the spring. There are many houses of worship in Nashville, and each one offers something unique to the spiritual life of the city. In fact, there are over 700 houses of worship in the city, representing a wide range of denominations. From the grandiose churches downtown to the small community chapels in the suburbs, there is a place of worship for everyone. The Christian churches in Nashville are some of the most beautiful and historic buildings in the city, and they play an important role in the spiritual life of the community. Nashville is also home to a number of synagogues, mosques and temples. 

Many of these churches offer Sunday school classes, youth groups and other programs that help to foster a sense of community and fellowship. In addition, they are often active in social justice work, providing a much-needed voice in the fight for equality and fairness.
